Two TDLEG 2025–28 Grants Awarded to the Department of Translation

| We’re delighted to share that faculty members from the Department of Translation have been awarded two Teaching Development and Language Enhancement Grants (TDLEG) 2025–28. |
| • Dr. Chester Cheng & Dr. Barbara Jiawei Li (Co-PIs) — LoopLearn: An Adaptive AI Framework for Guided Experiential Learning Beyond the Classroom This project will introduce “LoopLearn,” an AI-powered platform designed to support out-of-class learning. The project team includes six teachers from Translation, Cultural and Religious Studies, Chinese Language and Literature, and Linguistics. Dr. Lily Li Li from the Department of Translation also serves as Co-Supervisor. |
| • Dr. Lily Li Li and Dr. Barbara Jiawei Li (Co-PIs) — “Learning by Creating: A Bilingual Corpus Built with Students for Virtual Learning” This collaborative project, conducted in partnership with the Translation and Interpreting Programme at CUHK (Shenzhen), aims to develop a bilingual literary translation corpus. It will support translation students’ learning through virtual, hands-on practice. |
