Our MA Graduate, Sunny Liu, Continues Studies at Leiden University
| “In retrospection, it is not an overstatement to say that the Master of Arts in Translation programme at CUHK changed my life. Not only did I acquire knowledge and skills through the compulsory and elective courses and the ones I was fortunately allowed to audit, but the professors’ dedication to translation and translation studies has also been influencing me ever since. Two years after graduation, I joined the Renditions editorial team at the Research Centre for Translation, CUHK, where my passion for literary translation kindled by MATRA found its home. While it was a humbling experience to work with world-class translators and scholars, the fulfilment I gained from work was marvellous beyond imagination. Now I am a student in the MA programme of Book and Digital Media Studies at Leiden University, hoping to investigate the role played by editors and publishers in the book world from a scholarly perspective. “ |
