Centre of Translation Technology

The Centre for Translation Technology (CTT) was inaugurated on 2 September 2006 by Prof. Ching Pak Chung, former Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Daniel Law, former Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Prof. Gilbert C.F. Fong, former Chairman of the Department of Translation.

 

CTT was established as a supporting arm of the M.A. in Computer-aided Translation Programme. Its functions include conducting academic research, building up databases, and publishing original research as well as organizing international conferences and seminars. Under the successive directorships of Prof. Chan Sin-wei, Prof. Lawrence Wong Wang-chi and Prof. James St. André, the Center has evolved through the past decade and is gaining momentum.

 

The Inaugural Ceremony of the Centre for Translation Technology was held on 2 September 2006 at Lecture Theatre 2, Esther Lee Building, Chung Chi College of the CUHK campus.
