Ms Phoebe Ng proudly represented translation students as a bilingual Master of Ceremony (emcee) for the faculty graduation ceremony! Here’s her reflection on this valuable experience: |
Hello! I am Phoebe, a year 4 Translation major. I am beyond honored to be the emcee for this year’s Doctoral and Master’s Degrees Graduation Ceremony of the Faculty of Arts. I was excited and nervous at the same time as I had to speak in front of over 700 people, with more viewers joining online! I still remember vividly the first time I went on the stage. As soon as I stepped onto it, my worries and anxiety faded. I was determined to fulfill my responsibility as an emcee, which was to ensure the flow and energy of the event. I will never forget the happy faces of the proud graduates and parents. This experience is definitely an eye-opener. I had the privilege to meet our Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nick Rawlins, and our Faculty Dean, Professor Max Tang. I am forever grateful to the Department and Faculty for trusting me and offering me this valuable opportunity. |
